New Peer Mediators

At St. Luke's we run a Peer Mediation program where Year 6 students are formally trained to assist other students in solving problems in the playground. Students apply to be a part of the program and build their skills through discussion and role play situations before earning their "Red Cap" and entering the playground as a fully fledged mediator.

Our second group of mediators, who have completed their training, received their caps at assembly yesterday afternoon. We were lucky enough to have Mrs Pam Betts, the Executive Director of Brisbane Catholic Education, at assembly to hear about the great work that these students have undertaken.

Congratualtions to:  Tommy, Mia, ‚ÄčTylah, Lorielle, Annie, Arabella and Chloe.  These students will join with our first group of Peer Mediators to help make our school play areas peaceful places to be.
