Grandparents' Day 2017

This morning was a wonderful experience for our students and their families celebrating Grandparents' Day.  We began with a prayer liturgy in the Emmaus Centre, led so beautifully by our Prep students and their teaching staff Mrs McKie, Mrs Stockwell, Mrs Mac, Mrs Fels and Mrs Harvey.  It was an absolute joy to welcome so many of our grandparents, many who travelled from far and wide to celebrate the important role they play in their grandchildren's lives.

Visits to classes were extended to the different areas of the grounds with children taking their grandparents on a mini tour of our school.  Not all grandparents could attend, but we have come into the 21st century and one grandchild face-timed his grandparent sharing his class and work through his iPad.  The morning ended with a cuppa and Mrs Osmond conducting the school choir with a few numbers to entertain our guests.

Our grandparents are the keepers of our family history, holding and sharing the traditions of what makes us who we are.  Thank you to everyone for making today a special occasion for all.‚Äč
